Artist’s Statement
My work is an immediate response to what I see and feel when immersed in the ever changing landscape. This process has opened my eyes to the beauty that can be found everywhere, even in the mundane.
Morning Hack by Karl Terry
Karl Terry ARSMA WGA is a renowned plein air painter. An associate member of The Royal Society of Marine Artists, The Wapping Group of Artists and the Rye Society of Artists.
Karl is based on the Isle of Oxney in Kent, he is inspired by a wealth of coastal landmarks such as the Rye and Camber Sands. Recording ever-changing moments and weather patterns of the places he paints, Karl works in oils producing both landscapes and cityscapes. Karl's art is a response to what he sees in particular moments in life. It might be figures strolling much-loved coastlines, glistening in ever changing light patterns, or simply perusing high streets of local towns, typical scenes from our everyday existence.
