Artist’s Statement
During the bluebell season the colour through a treescape often looks like a thick carpet only to thin out at close range.  I wanted to capture the intensity of colour and also the light filtering through the trees on this day that was very soft and gentle.  It is a scene very familiar to many of us.

The Year of the Tree, 39 by Jane Price

  • Jane Price lives and works in Chiswick, London. Much of Jane’s recent work is centred on landscapes dominated by trees, woodland and sunlight. Jane became a full-time artist in 2004, working from Great Western Studios in London before establishing her own studio Chiswick in 2007. In 2010 Jane was shortlisted for the John Moores Art Prize, and in 2014 she was selected for the Royal Academy’s Summer Exhibition. Jane works primarily on canvas using acrylics and charcoal. The big bold paintings that we have in the gallery are a stunning addition to any room.

Virtual Images - Where artworks are shown framed or within a room setting the images have been created using virtual/augmented reality software in some instances. The images are provided to give an idea of the scale of the artwork in the context of a room and the style of the framing. They should not be viewed as completely accurate e.g. the scale and the style/colours of the frame may vary slightly.

An online gallery with an augmented reality option is very forward looking and very appealing to the buyer.

The picture arrived this afternoon, very well packed and in excellent condition. It is indeed a very fine picture.

The painting is received and is a really nice small study-like work...

Thank you very much for all your help.
